A riot of color

So photography has pulled me further and further into its grasp. I am completely enamored by it. And I am enamored by those that have a talent for it, like Linda and Ed. While alone they have a fabulous eye for images, together they have created the site, Sunday Stills.

Sunday Stills offers those with a love of photography to come together for weekly challenges. This week is my first contribution. Being that the theme is color, I just had to share this picture. It combines my love of food with my love of art. It is shocking color in its natural state. Can't you just taste it?

Be sure to visit Linda and Ed's blogs to see more of their work. Also stop by Sunday Stills to browse others contributions.

I can taste it. Digital photography is brilliant, though Hubs and I were saying the other day that we miss the romance of sending the film off and having to wait ages for it to come back or those times when you found a roll of film and didn't have a clue what was on it.

While tha colour is good, the shape is intriguing too.

Tasty.. Thanks for the glowing post, I'm truely humbled. Amanda has a point, I kinda miss film but I try to make every digital shot count.

Woohoo, I can comment again! I love this one, it makes me want to dig the last one I've got in the fridge and crunch on it. Great subject and wonderful color! Thanks for the shoutout too!!!

I love peppers; they have such interesting shapes. Pictures of peppers, and the interesting shape of vegetables in general, always remind me of Edward Weston's classic photos. I like your colour version :)

Good pic. I agree with you, I'm getting sucked further into the photography thing. I've always like it but with film cameras it could be quite expensive, and since I'm not that good a lot of money was wasted. With digital though I can click to my heart's content to get the shot I envision.

Love it! With the new macro, right? My little man keeps trying to eat a similar pepper (he thinks it's an "apple") from our fridge. Will mos def check out the site! I love a weekly challenge!

Nice colours and great lens. I'm coveting my husband's camera now - mine just doesn't get the clever depth of field stuff.

I agree, Linda has really become an amazing photographer.

But then so have you! :)

Allow yourself to be mesmerised by photography. Your angles are great.

I hope your son is better, too. Yes, looking after a sick child is better than writing a long post!

Great photo!
I have technical question. How do you do the watermark? I am thinking of doing that too for some of my photography.

Thank you all! Sunday Stills is going to be fun.

Digital photography has reawakened my love of photos. While I am a bit of a retro person and love film cameras, I can say that over time the process of actually making it to the store to have it developed lost it's luster. So the digital world has saved me...and improved my techniques, as I can greedily snap away :)

Bell peppers are a staple in our house. Little Man eats them like candy...any and all colors, although red is his favorite.
